Mazón, on Torró's appointment: "May God help us"

The president of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón , has stated that if the appointment of Valencian Rebeca Torró as the new Secretary of Organization of the PSOE is the "natural evolution" of José Luis Ábalos and Santos Cerdán , "may God help us ."

This was stated in response to questions from the media this Friday in Alicante, after learning that the President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez , has appointed Rebeca Torró as the new Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, who will replace Santos Cerdán as the party's number three following his involvement in the alleged collection of bribes for public works contracts.

"We've already seen how the PSOE has evolved with respect to its Organisation Secretaries, with respect to its 'number twos'. Koldo García started as a temporary interim, handling the various changes, inaugurating the José Luis Ábalos era, and then came the Santos Cerdán era," said the head of the Consell and also leader of the Valencian Popular Party.

For this reason, the president of the Generalitat has stated that he "understands" that if Rebeca Torró is "the natural evolution" of Ábalos and Cerdán, "then may God help us."

That said, she took the opportunity to emphasize that Torró, during her time as Minister of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility and as regional secretary during the Consell presided over by Ximo Puig, "had the skill to buy trams that did not pass through bridges " in the province of Alicante.

"We've had to spend 17 million euros renovating and rebuilding new bridges like the Mascarat and Algar bridges to fix the mess that cost all of us Valencians 17 million euros," he lamented, while emphasizing that this situation "has cost the Valencian taxpayer a lot."
